LOUISIANA EQUINE PROGRAMS
Louisiana State University
is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is a land grant university. The University does not offer an undergraduate equine degree, but does house the LSU
School of Veterinary Medicine
that offers a professional Doctor of Veterianry Medicine Degree. The school operates a Teaching Hospital and
Equine Health Studies Program.
The program is centered around the LSU Equine Hospital which offers complete equine care including Diagnostic, General Veterinary Medicine, Imaging, Equine Surgery and Equien Dental needs.
As a land grant colelge, LSU is base for the USDA Agrucltural Extension and 4-H Program. The LSU Exetnsion Programoperates a very act6ive Equine Division and publishes an equine newsletter,
Talkin' Horses,

Equestrian Team.
Louisiana Tech University
is located in Ruston, Louisiana, and offers a B.S. in Animal Science with an Equine Concentration. Course include Equine Health, Anatomy, and Agri-Business. The University also has an equestrian Club that operates as a social and service organization.
McNeese State University
is located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and offers a B.S. in Agricultural Sciences with an Equine Concentration.
The University also offers a well-regarded
Rodeo Program
that competes intercollegiately.
Tulane University
is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Tulane does not offer an equine degree, but it does have a competitive
Equestrian Team.
